Intro to Ayurveda: A Holistic Approach To Health + Longevity

This is a three-part series is meant to introduce you to the basics of Ayurveda, the ancient system of holistic healing originating in India. Each of the 60-minute classes will offer you a deep dive into how learning this system can benefit your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, particularly during this time of stress and uncertainty.

Classes are in collaboration with the Ohm Center and will take place via zoom consecutive Sundays beginning April 19th from 1-2 pm.

First Class (April 19th): 
In this class, you will be presented with an overview and background on the holistic practice of Ayurveda, including history, philosophy, and different branches. Also covered will be elements in nature, how to determine your unique inborn elemental composition (or dosha), how to support it and maintain balance during cycles of transition.

Second Class (April 26th): 
In this class, you will learn the importance of creating a daily practice, including discussion of how to integrate oliation, massage, pranayama (breathwork), meditation, mantra, and asana into your daily life.

Third Class (May 3rd): 
In this class, you will learn all about an Ayurvedic diet: the importance of healthy digestion and seasonal eating for your constitution. The class will include a cooking demo and an Ayurvedic kitchen tour!
